  • We needed a place to get a bite of lunch after viewing the Hoover Dam. I looked up a McDonald's and found one on the way back to Vegas BUT spotted this Jack in the Box on the way. I know it's weird but I wanted to go to one ever since I spotted a sign on the first day of our vacation. There are no more of these in Florida that I am aware of nor any when we travel up the coast. We used to go frequently when I was a child and I have vivid memories of a "clown" taking your order when going through the drive-thru...my little brother would throw a conniption and demand to talk to the clown...annoying at the time but so cute in retrospect. :) So yes, this visit was all about nostalgia and I wanted a chili dog as that is what I remember having but apparently my memory is faulty or they no longer have them. I chose a sourdough jack and it was quite tasty. I think the good service we received and the nostalgia made me bump this up to 4 stars. That and the fact that the food at the Hoover Dam is way overpriced so this is a much better bet!
