Who knew this little gem was hidden over in the Esplanade -- RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET MY OFFICE??? Thanks, Groupon! The atmosphere is very cool and hip, but not obnoxious or snooty like you find in some other places in the Valley. Three of us sat upstairs, so it was nice to be able to see downstairs through the railing. However, it was a little too dim, making it a little difficult to read the menu.
The chips and salsa were great! The salsa tasted fresh and had just the right amount of kick to it. I ordered one carne asada taco and one chicken street taco, both of which were delish! But I think I enjoyed the rice more than my tacos -- it was that good! However, they were a bit stingy with the rice -- I wanted more! My friends were also very pleased with their meals, although one of my friends had her heart set on the empanadas, but they didn't have any. Boo.
I'm looking forward to going back at happy hour so I can try the margaritas!
