It was supposed to be a treat to get my hair cut closer to home, so therefore I was a new client. I had spent the last few weeks gathering Pinterest cuts of "medium long straight layers". I was so sick of my boring, grown out lob cut. Somehow my cut was scheduled as "curly" meaning the stylist probably thought she was going to get paid more. When my straight hair showed up she mentioned that she thought my appt was for curly and seemed put off. I tried to chat and make jokes as the appt continued but she was super quiet. I could catch the annoyed vibe quite easily and shut my trap. I mentioned a lot of qualities I would like in a haircut, and was flexible with the length. Then I offered to show her my Pinterest page and she said no! I knew it wouldn't end well. The result? Same hair, same layers, same boring lob that was a couple inches shorter, maybe. I'm glad some people are happy with their services here, I tipped, smiled and said thank you.. but me.. I'm still on the verge of tears feeling bad and blaming myself about my boring, boring self.
