  • This place has been my gym ever since I had to stop using my university gym. I have been to this gym for the third year now and it is in my opinion the best and most inexpensive gyms with all the gym equipments. Other gyms with the higher price points offer all the fancy frills of towel service, jaccuzi etc that I don't use on a regular basis. Other cheaper gyms like Fit4Less has the cost down but don't have some of the most essential weight lifting equipments. Hone Fitness has it all! I started with their $10 membership with a one time activation fee, and this alone allows me to enjoy using their squat racks, dead lift stations, bench press stations, and all other weight and cardio machines. After I started paying for their $20 membership which includes the orange room full of cross training equipments. Even though I live and work up town I still find it worth it to subway down and go to this gym. After the first year of going to Hone I was pleasantly surprised that even though the membership is inexpensive, the management is still trying to optimize this gym by adding three more stations that can be both squatting and deadlifting stations. This makes a tremendous amount of difference when I come after work during rush hour and most other gyms never have a squat or deadlift station free. They offer one free trial for anyone interested in the gym so I would highly recommend taking this opportunity and check it out for yourself. One advice before signing up for the membership though. They offer the option of paying for your gym membership a full year at a time as well as going monthly auto deduction from your credit card. The bulk payment option is really only for international or exchange students who aren't natives. For people who live permanently in Toronto, I would suggest going monthly. This is because if you decide to continue your membership after paying bulk for a year, they will re-charge you the one time activation fee since it's considered starting a new account. A lot of gym members that started out with the gym when it first opened wasn't explained about this properly (but the management was reasonable in resolving this issue for me). So for newcomers, I would just recommend going monthly and this way you'll never have to pay the one time activation fee again, just the annual maintenance fee.
