Way to go TWC.... you're a monopoly and everyone hates you. I mean, seriously, look at all of your glowing Yelp reviews.
After not having television of any kind in my home for 5 months... I broke down and ordered up some cable. (and now I can't be all smug and elitist and holier than though anymore and say things like "Well, I don't watch TV.")
I just LOVE their appointment windows. 4pm-6pm was mine for yesterday. I got a call at 4:36 from TWC HQ letting me know that my technician would be arriving in "15 minutes". Yeah, uh huh. That "15 minutes" came and went. By 6:00pm nobody had showed. I called TWC HQ at 6:01 on the frickin' dot. They apologized profusely and said I was "the next appointment and that he would be there shortly."
WTF does "shortly" mean to TWC? To me it means NOW or 2 seconds from NOW.
So yeah.... cable dude didn't show up at my door until 8 frickin' pm-ish. 2 hours after "shortly".
The dude was cool and efficient and worked quickly. I'm not faulting him so much. He doesn't make the appointments obviously. And I must have made quite an impression on him as well because he gave me his digits -- awww yeah (and yes, I'm serious).
And another thing.... why is it that as SOON as you hang up with TWC HQ you get a phone survey call. I mean, really.... if you're in a salty mood about them not showing up on time do they REALLY think we're going to give them good marks on their stupid survey?
