  • Came today for lunch w a co-worker...SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! The place is a cute little restaurant w lots of personal photos, writing on the wall; very cool to see all those who have eaten and left reviews on the wall!! For lunch we both had southern fried chicken but we chose different sides. She had the cabbage and red beans/rice, I had the mixed greens (collard and spinach) and the green beans/potatoes. Both were served w corn bread. I had iced tea, she had koolaid. The food was FANTASTIC!!! Everything we ate was soulful, delicious, and comforting to the max!! On top of that, service was great! Our waiter mentioned he was there alone today and he was BUSY. He kept our glasses full and kept us informed...he was fantastic. This is likely the best place I've eaten in months, for sure the best of its kind in Phoenix. A definite must!
