I suppose you shouldn't judge a restaurant based on a lunch rush experience, but such is what I have to work with and I doubt I will be back. Less because the "15 minute" wait took an hour, more because the food is too bland to suit me.
Thai food is spicy. Notoriously so - or at least it should be. I was excited that they would prepare their Pad Thai (a dish that serves as a very good baseline to judge everything else served in these places) "Thai hot," despite it not having the associated chili icon next to it on the menu indicating that this was an available option. I love Pad Thai. I love it hot! Bring it on!
Well, there were chilis on the plate that were not on my companion's, so it certainly looked like they tried - but there was just no heat here, man. You don't have to make me sweat my balls off but come on - don't call this Thai hot! It was actually delicious but "tasty" Thai food without any noticeable spice is not what I call Thai food. It's Asian-American food and I can get that for way cheaper than this. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, they cater to the white bread Central corridor. Those guys consider Macayo's to be authentic Mexican.
For my Thai jones, I'm sticking with Siam Thai.
