  • This is such a great pool - I love bringing my niece here. And, well, I think she would live here if she could. Although it feels like a bit of a drive, it's less than 10 minutes away from civilization! Decent parking, entrance fees are minimal (although they add up if you're bringing a group!) Changing areas aren't great, but really, are they ever? The pool is just the right size, not too big and not too small. Zero depth wading areas for the little ones and deep ends for the adventurous. Only downside is no slides. Adult swim every 45 min, and of course the snack bar line can be long. But snacks aren't overpriced, and the line moves fast. They even have some healthy options (at least, that's what the chalkboard says). Staff are all friendly; and are the right mix of not overbearing but not inattentive. I know there's a playground out there, but we haven't checked it out. I know they must be closed for the season, but we'll absolutely be back next summer. After years without public pools in Madison, we're lucky to have some great ones now!
