| - Now that I've moved out of San Tropez I'll tell you how I really feel about the place. When I came to the property to see a unit I was only shown a "model unit". I asked to see a normal unit and was told they didn't have any to view. This is BS, if a place out here won't show you a normal unit, there is a reason behind that. When I got the keys to my unit it looked nothing like the beautiful model unit I was shown. It had ugly 1970s two tone cabinets. The counter tops were yellow and all scratched up. My kitchen floor had several burn holes in the gross linoleum floors, the master bathroom sink was all chipped and you could tell they must just keep painting the surfaces instead of making this a nice unit. So basically this place was not worth the $1157 I paid a month, I could have done much better in Scottsdale for the money. Parking here is horrible if you don't live alone. I lived alone so it really wasn't a problem but my friends always had to park way far away from my unit. I also have called a tow truck maybe 5 times for those jerks that don't care if they park in your covered spot. The office staff is totally fake! I called our security several times for my A hole neighbors that played their crappy music at all hours of day and night. Security would make them turn it down but asking the office staff to take care of the problem after several complaints was like talking to a brick wall. They wanted to know how many times I called Scottsdale police to complain, why would I call Scottsdale police to complain when the complex has their very own security, just their way of not having to take care of any problems. Don't get me wrong, the security staff and maintenance staff were great, they should be the ones running the property, not the fake ladies in the office. I was told by the office that they would call me back once they figured out what they were going to do, nothing, not even a call back. I actually called the corporate office and gave them all my complaints from the whole year. If I was loaded I would have walked away from this place and paid the fee to break a lease, this place is awful! As others have stated this property is very loud, you'll hear drunk idiots at all hours of the night playing at the pool or walking through the complex shouting. The pool also is just like MTV spring break. I didn't mind the pool until my niece came to visit, we had to leave the pool once the booze chugging and shouting started, her mom would have killed me for having her around those people. Last but not least my until 3023 had lots of silverfish (those gross little silver bugs), the place was being treated for the bugs but it didn't seem to help. A friend of mine just signed a new lease and was forced to sign a bedbug waver. If I had to sign one of those I wouldn't even consider moving into this complex. It's over priced, they take great care of the property so they don't have to take care of the units. When you pull up to this place it's hard to imagine that the units are as ugly and old as they really are. Do yourself a favor and find a better place. San Tropez sucks, if I could give it no stars I would!
