  • I found Siena almost 5 years ago after I adopted a puppy from the pound and my friend recommended Dr. Keeney. I took my new puppy there for her first round of shots and a checkup from her being recently spayed and was thrilled to find out that her first vaccinations were free because Siena supports *adoption*! From the beginning, the entire staff was very friendly and they made an effort to not only know my name but my dog's name too and would greet us with a smile every time we came in. Checkups with Dr. Keeney never felt rushed. She took the time to answer all my questions and never made me feel like an issue was too silly or small to address. The way she interacts with my dog is just awesome- you can tell working with animals is something she personally enjoys and is good at- and that means a lot to me. Siena also has boarding and its the only facility I will even consider using for this purpose as the reviews for other kennels in Vegas are abysmal. The only issue with this is that Siena's boarding runs are in HOT demand over the holidays and you have to book them well in advance. Not surprising all things considered. They have someone with the dogs from 7am to 7pm and they are taken to a cute outdoor play area on rotation. You can even upgrade to a larger run if you want your dog to have extra space, which I've done on occasion. The best part is they don't mind if I call and check in on my dog while I'm away. They'll tell me what she's up to, if she's eating ok, etc. It's comforting to know they are treating her well and with love in my absence, evident from my dog's demeanor whenever I take her here. The facilities are newer and beautifully maintained. The waiting area is large with an open reception area and it's clean as a whistle- none of that weird vet smell. They use an intercom system so dropping off or picking up a pet is a fairly simple process- you handle the paperwork at reception and they bring the dog out to you all ready to go. I've once had to take an early morning flight and needed to drop off my dog that morning under a pretty tight schedule- They let me come the week before and handle it all so the morning of, all I had to do was a hand-off. They even had her charts pre-pulled and ready to go. The staff is really reasonable and will try to accommodate you whenever they can, which is honestly a rare thing in businesses this day and age. I've read the reviews made prior to mine and I do agree with a few people that the prices here are maybe a bit more than other places. That being said, I think they're fair for the quality of care I received here for my dog and all the things I listed above. I'm really happy with my overall experience at Siena and so glad my friend recommended them to me. I hope this passes it on!
