RENTER BEWARE. This establishment lacks integrity. NICKLE and DIME SCAM. I have signed 21 leases in my life, and have never had such a bad experience with my lease.
My wife and I were looking for a short lease due to my job moving us cross country after 3 months. We clearly expressed to the management we only wanted 3 months and then we would be moving. Both parties verbally agreed and we signed the
lease. We didn't realize the management snuck a 60 day notice requirement then roll to month-month pricing term into our lease.
Upon move out we were informed we were responsible for the 60 day notice that they had failed to tell us about. We tried to go up the corporate ladder to plead our case, but getting in contact with Armando was like an episode of dog the bounty hunter. The guy was very tough to track down. He then agreed in a phone call that his management team at desert club may have not informed us properly, but since we signed we were responsible, and told us if we didn't pay, legal action would follow.
Also upon move out they tried to charge us extra for carpet cleaning. We actually got that deducted though after appealing because we had pictures and they did not. Just trying to add extra nickel and some tactics on the way out.
