  • Shame on Whole Foods!!!! Today I purchased $40.00 of Black Cod to make a special dinner. Well, I get home and begin to prepare it and to my dismay I discover that Whole Foods sold me this very expensive fish riddled with bones. For almost 20 minutes I had to take the tweezers to this fish before I could start sautéing it. Well folks that was not enough to save my dinner. As we ate this delicious fish we pulled bones out of our mouth at every bite and on my last bite I literally choked on bone that slid by me I am so disappointed and angry at Whole Foods and their inferior staff. The reason we purchase fish at a store is to avoid having to filet and debone it. I have friends bring me lovely salmon, halibut and black cod from Alaska yearly and these inexperienced individuals supply me with fish that is safe to consume. Whole Foods may find themselves in a law suit when one of their unsuspecting clients end up in the hospital from their deadly bone filled fish. Take my advise and go to AJs they train their staff on how to prepare their fresh fish.
