| - Like this place needs another 5 star review but I thought I would add my 2 cents.
The first time I went to Japanese Car Service, I was getting a second opinion on a quote from "purrfect auto" who said to change my O2 sensor it would cost around $480. This seemed incredibly high to me, he kept saying something about how my O2 sensor was a "california emissions" 02 sensor so that's why it cost so much. I called a mechanic friend who told me they were full of it and to look elsewhere.
I happened upon this place by pure luck. They ended up charging 180 for the same procedure and no one was able to understand what this other dude meant about the "california emission 02 sensor." I had the work, drove my car for a day, got my emissions test and passed. Very happy. I have been recommending friends to this place for the past year. When I went to get my tires rotated where I bought my tires, they said my bushings and struts needed to be replaced, that would be $1200 and they could do it right away.
Needless to say I called Japanese Car Service. They quoted me $760 and when I brought it in, ready to shell out the money, they said I didn't need to replace anything. It just needed an oil change.
Very honest staff, Kevin, the younger man who runs the front desk most of the time is very helpful and kind. It's tough finding a car place you trust, I have been ripped off more times than I can count, but I feel very comfortable sending anyone to this place.
Thank you so much guys, you rock!
