  • I went to Bangz for a last minute appointment for some major brow reshaping. I looked like a Sesame Street character!! My appointment was with Britney Farr, and she was a delight. However, let's go over my entire experience. As soon as I walked in, about 5 minutes early to my appointment, I said I was there for a brow appointment with Britney, and the front desk chick knew my name. I am assuming she is either really good at her job, or a witch. Whatever the case is, I appreciated it. Made me feel like they were waiting for me to get there. Total ego booster for the day. As I waited for her to come out. I browsed the products, and the sorcery of the front desk girl continued. She brought me a water, and since no one else was waiting made small talk with me about products. She wasn't selling me, we were just having a conversation. She did know a lot about the line, and was really informative. She showed me products she thought I might like based on our conversation, but how she presented them was really well constructed. If I wasn't a broke student right now I would have bought it all up. Like I said she was magic! When another client walked in she excused herself from me, and immediately addressed the other client. Good customer service is hard to come by, and by most of the reviews people experienced an uppity staff. I'm not sure if they have made changes but I didn't feel like this was the case. When Britney came out she was all smiles, and so friendly. She showed me the salon floor, mainly due to the fact we had to walk through it, but she did a good job at pointing out the salon attributes. She pointed out what the stylist were doing m, and from what I saw it was good work. I saw a review that said the work looked dated, and for older clients. That is not what I witnessed at all. It was second nature to her, and I was taken with the posh charm of the place. Her studio was cozy, and well kept. My biggest issues with my brows in the past is when I get them done I feel like no one has listened to me or looked at them before proceeding. She did both. The wax was this crazy green peel off, no cloth required stuff that didn't hurt. My normal plethora of curse words didn't come out as it was ripped off. That's a good sign for our future! Afterwards, there was no fire engine red marks around my eyes. Which I appreciated since I was due in class right after. She also did something that not many have done after, she told me how to fill them in, where to pluck, and what I could use that I already had to make them look good. I haven't gotten my hair done here, but I will say my experience here was top notch, and not what I was expecting from a salon in Gastonia.
