Sure, this celebrity chef joint located along restaurant row in the MGM Grand district area is actually a nifty sports bar to catch a game or grab a comfort food bite to help get over a hangover, but it's also a decent spot to have a good cocktail and burger.
Friendly service in a cozy atmosphere with solid eats. Very laid back and unpretentious. Actually a fun spot. Plenty of flat screens to watch a game. A terrific selection of brews with over 40 selections of beer on tap and in bottles/cans, including ales, stouts and lagers - oh my!
When I was staying at MGM Grand during a biz trip not too long ago I had a night open for dinner so I dropped in here to try it out. Sat at the bar where the bartenders were attentive and took fine care of me.
Had to go with one of their specialties. The PUB 1842 Burger - caramelized onions, mushrooms and truffle aioli. It was $17 which seems a bit pricey but it was really tasty. Cooked just right and juicy. The crispy bbq fries that came with it were a good side. We all know that dining in casinos is always on the pricier end, so it was kind of expected, but at least this was worth it as the portion was pretty large.
Oh, and I washed this down with a properly made sazerac. Why not? They offer some innovative cocktails and adult milkshakes, but I went with a classic.
It is Vegas after all and if I want a sazerac with my burger then so be it!
