  • The owners and staff are just fantastic! I have gone before several races to get new apparel for different conditions (freezing cold for Richmond, Julie fitted me for the Mizuno Breathe Thermo top and bottom) and raining in Hartford (an excellent water repelling jacket) and helpful with making sure what I'm getting is right for me! The store is always clean, well stocked and is laid out for many folks to be able to shop at the same time even though it has a small footprint. Professional running bra fittings and the ability to try items out and return them if it wasn't what you expected. Mike is awesome--he's not a world record holding athlete, he's a regular guy who runs and talks to those of us that are also regular men and women in a way that makes my husband and I both feel a bit more like athletes. :) Selection, pricing, deals on certain items (like a box of GU) and discounts on seasonal items are all outstanding. Love that they are at the mouth of the Greenway in Birkdale and I can pop in for socks, a forgotten gel....you name it, before a run. You can go to a big box store and be a faceless spender, or you can go to Fleet Feet and be a recognized and valued customer...why on earth would you pick the former when you can enjoy the latter? FLEET FEET--nothing better in Lake Norman for runners!!!
