| - I found this hotel to be a bit dated compared to other IC properties but its location can't be beat. Situated in Old Montreal, its within walking distance to everything you'd want to do and see (ie. Notre Dame Basilica, Old Port, Downtown, McGill, nightlife). I could not be happier. Our flight arrived a bit later than we expected and my room was still guaranteed. Ambassador membership guarantees a free upgrade also, so we ended up with a King Corner Room. Bed was extremely comfy. I slept like a baby.
We were greeted with a welcome fruit dish and water, and OMG cupcakes (!!!) from their local Les Glaceurs (cupcakes and cones) in Old Montreal. LOVED IT!
2 smaller bottles of water was replenished in our fridge everyday as well, keeping us hydrated throughout the day.
The shower was a bit small for my liking though- I'm not the largest person but think the shower itself could use a bit more square footage, even though the bathroom was pretty spacious in and of itself.
Housekeeping was good- we always had fresh towels and a clean room. They did try to come multiple times the first morning, but luckily I had the lock up; my fault though for forgetting to place the "do not disturb" sign out front.
TV is a bit small- then again, we were too tired to watch any tv at the end of the day. FYI- Ambassador status gives you a free in room movie if you're up for it. Free Wifi too.
I didn't check out the other amenities because we were there for only a weekend, but I would happily return again.
Also- we were given a voucher for complimentary drinks for 2 at their bar (Sarah b.) as a 'thank you' for being an Ambassador member. This hotel recognizes status and will go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Taxi stand right outside the hotel at all hours of the day- we left around 4:30a to catch our super early morning flight and had no issue finding a taxi.
Front desk was always happy to help resolve any issue, and it can be a busy hotel- in one weekend we witnessed a wedding and a conference going on. And yet, we were still well taken care of. Think that says a lot :)
