I have stayed here for the WCC basketball tournament in March, a Friday-Tuesday. It's nothing fancy, but definitely a good value.
The room was a good size and we were able to get plenty of sleep without being disturbed by noise. Housekeeping was very helpful and responsive. Pool was not great, but clean.
I really appreciated the convenient and affordable dining options. There is a food court, a TGIFridays and I think a mexican place? The food at the buffet was pretty gross though. There is a gift shop conveniently located by the elevators with toiletries and snacks. There's also a liquor store in the hotel.
People tend to count the Orleans out because of how far it is from the strip, but they do have a FREE shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up at Big Al's Gambling hall in the middle of the strip. This saved us a bunch of money on cabs, though we still had to cab back to the hotel late at night.
