I feel like I've been shopping here for decades. I first started with buffalo exchange back in the 70s when I was going to ASU and shopping at the tiny store on Mill that MIGHT have been 200 square feet. It was heaven there.
Fast forward to the economic crash of 2008. No one could pay regular retail anymore, so everyone flooded to thrift and resale places. Naturally, the retail prices started to rise because of increased demand.
I shop many different resale places, and I feel that Buffalo took more advantage to hike their prices higher and faster (with no particular value increase that would justify it to the consumer) than ANY other thrift or resale store in the Valley.
I started shopping elsewhere, with great success, and didn't frequent BE very much anymore, and when I did, I spent about 20 percent of the amount that I used to each visit.
So, to the Buffalo exchange store management, I would offer the following age-old economic advice -- "Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered."
