  • We started going to Cozumel soon after we moved here over 10 years ago. The food and the service was great. The ingredients were good, they used real chorizo back then and the other ingredients were also very good. While it wasn't authentic the food was still very good. Our last two visits have been a big disappointment. The tortilla chips are not what they used to be and the salsa is very low grade. I think they are substituting spam for chorizo now and the carnitas are not near as good as they used to be. At least one of us on our last two visits had to send something back because it was cold in the middle. I told the cashier tonight that we noticed the degradation in the food quality and she said they might have changed food service providers. I would suspect that they may be using Restaurant Depot now and that could be the issue. If more long time customers would chime in maybe they would return to their previous quality levels. The service is still very good so I felt compelled to leave a good tip but I did let them know I would not return unless they improved the quality of the food. It used to be difficult to get a table on Friday nights it was easy tonight. JO
