  • Nora's has been on my list of places to eat for years now. I finally got the chance last night for a birthday celebration! Walking in, it has an old Tuscan feel to it. It's dimly lit, bar is situated in the middle, and it gets pretty noisy. Our server was great! I think his name was Don. He kept our drinks and garlic breadsticks full! Speaking of the garlic breadsticks...omg they are the best thing ever. And they're complimentary! Onto the food! Calamari: Yum! Fried and seasoned perfectly. It wasn't oily at all! I really enjoyed the sauce it came with. I'm not sure exactly what the sauce was but it tasted like a marinara and it was a nice change from the typical creamy, white sauce most other places give. Grilled octopus: I wished it had more of that char taste I was looking for. The texture itself was nice but it wasn't the most flavorful dish. I would probably skip next time. Lasagna: omg so. much. cheese! I did wish it had more meat sauce (l like saucy lasagnas). This is definitely not for someone who's lactose intolerant. But then again, who takes that seriously? Lol kidding. Crazy Alfredo: I really enjoyed this dish! It has a nice kick of spice from the jalapeños. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the dish had the right amount of sauce on it. Osso bucco: this was so tender! Comes with mashed potatoes. Ribeye (came with truffle fries): We asked for it to be cooked medium and it was perfect! It had the nice char and wasn't chewy at all. It comes with a side of truffle fries which I am all about! Most of the entrees could be shared, such as the osso bucco and crazy Alfredo. They're huge! Overall I do recommend this place. It's nice that it's not on the Strip and the prices are reasonable. The food and service was excellent. Only thing I wasn't down for was the noise level. It gets LOUD. I found myself shouting a few times across the table...but I don't know if that's saying much because I generally have a small voice haha.
