| - I like George, so I was really looking forward to their Sunday roast special. I've wanted to try it for at least a few years now, however long they've been running it, anyway. Due to my schedule, today was the first free Sunday afternoon I have been able to. The roast beef was tender, the gravy was perfect and so were the mashed and fried potatoes. However, the Yorkshire Pudding was not good. It's supposed to be golden brown. Mine was very dark brown and burned black around the edges. Basically inedible although I tried. I ate the less burned bottom half, which tasted overcooked, a flavor that repeated on me for the next few hours. When I mentioned that it was overcooked to the waitress, she was very nice and offered to bring me a new one. Then she came back and told me that the kitchen said it was supposed to be that way and all the others looked like that, too. She offered to get a manager so I could discuss it with them. I declined since I have better things to do with my day off than argue that the kitchen should know how to cook the special properly. I did Google Yorkshire Pudding and looked at all the images just to prove to myself that I was right about the golden brown they're supposed to be. I left very disappointed that my first taste of something I'd waited so long to try was so subpar. All in all, I give the Sunday roast special about a 50%. Cook the Yorkshire Pudding properly and I'll try it again. Otherwise, I'll just go somewhere else Sunday.
