| - I got my nails done here about a month ago because my boyfriend wanted to treat me to it because I don't usually get acrylics but really like the look of them.
Last time I had acrylics they sanded my nails down too much and the nails were painful, to use a nice word. So I asked the lady here to go easy on me, and she said she would and overall it wasn't too bad, still a little to rough for my liking.
The actual application of the plastic part of the nail and all the paste (I don't know the terms but you get it.) was okay. She messed up a few times, leaving some acrylic gunk under the nail that eventually dried and she didn't fix it. She also told me to relax and stop tensing, but the filing so close to my skin was borderline painful so I was already as relaxed as I was going to get. I asked for a shape instead of the square tips and it was an extra $5, seems like a rip considering most salons ask what shape you want but fine.
I picked a light, almost sheer, off white color (it looked yellow in the bottle, which is why I picked it, but it wasn't once it was on the nail. She painted my first nail and showed me and I was okay with it.)
At the end, the color was patchy and it didn't go on very nicely. I wasn't pleased with it but by then I just wanted to be done and go on my way. I fixed it myself the next day, which was super annoying considering the whole thing cost $45.
For $45, I got okay acrylic nails, which is disappointing.
