I'm going to have to drop my 4 star rating to a 2.5. based on my last experience. I understand about the beef shortage in TX so I understand why rolling smoke raised their prices.
I always get the AYCE option, and one of their employees remembers me because I always order it. What I don't understand is why rolling smoke is sending out a quarter of the portions that they used to with each order of food. Before, I would order a meatloaf and get a FULL order( 2 nice slices) of meatloaf. Not a little crumpled portion from the end. Before I would order a of beef ribs and get 2 in an order, not one. This last visit, not only did the order taker miss a few of the items initially ordered, but they NEVER(even in previous visits) ask if you want to order more. You have to compete with the people in line and it creates and awkward situation. All portions sent out were not even close to what I used to get and sadly, I was bringing in people for thier first visit. How are you going to justify an order of wings and only give 2 wings in an order?
The 4 meat platter came with 2 tiny strips of brisket and the wrong sides.
You guys gotta find a better system for the AYCE. Maybe a flag on the table so your staff knows who is spending twice the amount of money than the average guest and could show them a little more attention. Also accuracy in order taking is important too. I didn't mind the mistakes and poor service before, because there was value in what you were serving.
Now Higher price/way smaller portions/no server/difficulty in ordering at $35 a person plus 20% tip?
Ouch. That's disappointing. You can't raise prices and give your guests way less. That's a no no.
Please fix this.
