  • NEVER GO TO PEP BOYS FOR OIL CHANGES OR ANYTHING!!!!!! I came in to get my oil change the other day. I left my car there and told them to call me when it was done. An hour later, I got a phone call, and the guy was telling me that they found bunch of coolant and just a little bit of oil. They said my engine would break down if I continued to drive and I should leave my car there, and they would have their partner company come and check it out for me. I found this very strange so I came back to Pep boys, they showed me the picture ( which was a tube with green coolant in it - instead of gold color of oil). They have another technician ( This guy seems like very innocent - he probably did not know about these lies) - came up to me and said he never seen such thing for 10 years he's been working here, but he said I can still drive my car for a bit, so I took my car to the dealership where I bought my car from. It turned out the coolant for my car is ORANGE, NOT GREEN. I have been driving for a lot after that and nothing was wrong, my car never broke down. Pep Boys was trying to finessed me by making up all these lies. They probably put green dye in there to make it look like coolant. Just bunch of a**holes trying to get money from college students!!!!!!
