  • I have a HUGE sweet tooth so the Cupcake Shoppe always comes in handy when I have one of my chocolate or buttercream cravings! Sadly, I have mixed feelings about this place and I will tell you why. The Cupcake Shoppe does put a lot of effort and care into everything they bake. I have bought cupcakes for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and I had the store create a doctor-themed cake for my dad's birthday. Both of these desserts were eaten with only compliments but no complaints! Also, in terms of cupcake selection, the store has several types and always has at least 10 of the cupcakes made fresh every day for people to buy. Unfortunately I have a few iffy things to say... The cupcakes do not come cheap. If you wish to buy a single cupcake, it is close to $3 per cake. The custom cake orders are not inexpensive either, BUT what you pay is what you get. And what you get is something customized and unique for your special party or gathering. One other thing that bothered me is when I ordered the cake, each size is WAY bigger than they estimate. So put it this way.... a third of my dad's birthday cake went bad by the end because it lasted a full week after his party. As well, sometimes the icing flavours do not vary even though they are suppose to be different on your tastebuds. However, the Cupcake Shoppe is a really cute place where a lot of love and effort are put into every baked good!
