Found a Waypoint Homes property listing on trulia. Very easy self-showing process. Fell in love with the home. Wanted to get a few questions answered and then apply. Had a hard time reaching our original contact Monique. Called the call center and they helped us with the application questions we had. The application confirmation stated we would hear back in 1-3 business days about the status of the application and move in would be within 9 days of application. About 9 business days passed until we heard we were approved- and only because I called multiple times to get an update. Then we were told the moving coordinator, Wilbur, would be in touch. We waited a few more days to hear from him and were eventually sent the move in costs and information about what our rent would be. Move in costs were pretty extreme and due within only 24 hours. Additionally, the monthly rent ended up having added fees that were not originally disclosed to us. I wish they broke down the fees prior to paying for an application. We ended up passing on the house due to a combination of awful reviews online about the company, the poor communication we experienced and the fees that were not disclosed prior to applying.
