| - Wait, what happened to my eyebrows??
If you're thinking about getting your eyebrows waxed, don't go here. If you're thinking of getting your eyebrows trimmed or cleaned up a little bit, don't go here. If you're thinking of getting anything related to your eyebrows done, don't go here. My first experience with Tiffany Nails was far from a hit - I really wanted to like this place, it's one of those hole-in-the-wall salons that has the potential to be a hidden gem. First off, the prices are great. Second (and this is just personal for me,) the owners are Vietnamese and I really wanted to support their business.
However, whe lady who did my eyebrows (and the co-owner of the store, I believe) waxed my eyebrows incredibly thin when I told her several times beforehand that I was looking for them to just be cleaned up a bit. Not only that, but she didn't show me my eyebrows until after she was done with them, and said, "You know...one of your eyebrows is much higher than the other, right?" My eyebrows, which have never been extensively plucked or waxed before (I go to various places for clean-ups and touch-ups, Aroma Wax Bar down the street being my favourite) didn't start off uneven, but they were after she was done with them. The worst part was when she started drawing in parts of my eyebrows after she had plucked them, and before she would show them to me.
I think it's obvious that one doesn't go to TIffany nails for their service or a luxurious feel - however, if you don't have great or even decent customer service, then the one thing you should have is efficiency and the ability to do what you claim you can.
