| - The method of doing business with this company is no good. If they have the part you want, they make you pay for the part up front, sight unseen. Then they will have you come in to pick it up the next day. There is a sign that says 25% re-stocking fee, and no cash refunds. So if the part is damaged in any way during removal, or was just simply already damaged, and you don't want to pay for the part, you are screwed.
I wanted a power window regulator and motor assembly for my corvette. The dealer wants $232.00, and various online retailers have the OEM part for 2 to 300 dollars. Online retailers also have 2 or 3 other manufacturers offering the part for $118, 139.00, $159
B&R wants 100.00. There is some risk that a junk yard part may fail at any time, or simply already be a failed part. buying an aftermarket part has a certain risk that the part may not fit perfectly, or be of low quality.
I think I will just spend a little more and buy a brand new part.
The other auto wrecking yards do not expect payment up front for parts sight unseen. I suggest you avoid this place, because there is already risk involved in buying used parts, but then they also add more risk to the buyer with this stupid way of doing business.
I would also note that the prices I encountered on the parts are high at B&R.
