Had to finally take a stroll through what I can best describe as the most polarizing grocery store ever. This is the only store I've encountered in which it would seem shoppers spend just as much time socializing as they do finding food! It's an experience.
Favorite things: Cheese selection is top notch. Produce selection is mighty fine, in season, and tastes great. I may have had the best tomatoes ever.
Pretty cool things: Store brand items are above average quality, wine selection, pretending you don't have a problem for sipping a brew while you shop.
Questionable things: Holy moly I could just eat at many surrounding restaurants for roughly the same price as the takeaway. While some of these were clearly quality items, others were clearly rather steep for what you're getting. Pretty sure I saw $5 black bean tamales, for example. I LOL'd The items that did impress me can be shopped around for elsewhere.
I'll stop making fun of this place now, as it's alright. I just feel as though I could be better off getting fresh items at places like Sprouts, and many prepackaged items at their competition across the parking lot. Nothing about this place says "wow, come here".
