| - I finally got my wish to try the Fish Market, it's easy to miss, but ever since I started going down the 51 I always look at that beautiful Red Neon sign with passion. It's easy to miss as it stradles right along the 51 between 16th street, there is access by the ciruit city parking lot.
I was a bit taken aback by the brightly lit interior and didn't know where I wanted to sit as it seemed a bit like a cafeteria. So I badgered the host to seat me in the back. The clam chowder was to die for it filled me up. After the Bass Ale, I was too full to eat my main meal, which was some kind of Pacific White Fish grilled with lemon sauce and capers, which I couldn't pronounce but our excellent waiter pronounced and served us with Pride.
It was then that I noticed a very beautiful dimly lit room off to the side, almost like an extensionary arbour with a nice patio area. Surely I will try that area next time, I also noticed the many wonderful photos of days gone by when big fish were still in the sea, and also to my delight the corkboard ceiling which keeps the noise level down--which is what I like, there's nothing worse than hearing the clank clank of cutlery on china!
They also have a large sushi bar, and a cold case where you can buy dungenous crab, salmon and Lobster, but at a higher price than my Ranch Market.
We also noticed the menu had a printed date of the same day, the waiter then told us that since they get 2 shipments of fresh fish everyday that they recycle and print new menus. I got to thinking how un-green it is to have a fish restraunt in the desert, but nevertheless I and myself deserve the treats my ancestors did when living by the sea. Oh the sea the sea I don't care how cold or drear I want to live by the sea and eat Fish!
