Thanks for your perspective Richard but your tech was already on a service call at my house. So while there is some justification about overhead, inventory etc., a 10 fold price increase on a part is unethical and taking advantage of a customer. Everyone expects you to mark up a product or service but as a small business owner I can tell you that I would NEVER treat my customers in this fashion. And I deal with other HVAC companies at my business and personal locations, so I am very aware of what is normal pricing. No matter how you spin it, your pricing is abusive and unjustifiable. I do not intend to ever do business with your company again.
