  • Was in on Oct. 1 for lunch. I think this may have been the worst service I've had in a very long time. First of all we were treated to listening to the day time bartender ranting, raving and cursing about how "effing" stupid his staff was, and how he was sick and tired of being the only intelligent one around the bar. I assume there's no daily specials of any kinda, since we never heard about any. We ordered our food and immediately after our order was taken, our server left the bar to go get a drink from Jugo Juice across the street. I have never seen a server just up and leave after they've gotten a new table. She then proceeded to sit at the bar, texting on her cell phone, drinking her Jugo Juice and reading the paper. When the food finally came to our table it was rather obvious that the food had been under the heat lamps for quite some time. My boyfriend had ordered the steak sandwich with a side of mushrooms, the steak was a terrible cut of meat, covered in fatty tissue and filled with gristly tough pieces. It was poorly cooked (he ordered med-rare and it came out just about rare) and the mushrooms were nowhere to be seen. It was disappointing that she herself had taken the order and didn't notice this, considering we were the only table in the building. After she left the food at our table, we didn't see her again for 15, maybe even 20, minutes. No quality check? That's pretty standard industry stuff. My boyfriend, after having no drink for 15 minutes asked the bartender for another one. He huffed a little bit, but went for a refill of his soda. Did he get a new glass? Nope. The bartender simply dragged the glass through the ice well to refill the ice (maybe they don't have ice scoops, but that's gross, his mouth has been on the glass and now it's in every ones ice). Even still, the server didn't come over to us. Once she finally came over we let her know that we never did get those mushrooms, and she instantly said the kitchen must have missed them, but that was all that was said. The bill showed up quite quickly, and that's when we were told that the ATM has been empty for nearly 2 weeks. It was terrible. A terrible server, terrible food, terrible experience. Kind of explains why we were the only table in the building.
