| - If you are craving waffles, you might as well go to a place that serves everything either on a waffle, between waffles or pressed into the waffle batter. We started with a plate of waffle bacon for the table. You get four sticks of waffles, each with a strip of bacon encased inside the batter. The table consensus was that there was too much waffle vs bacon ratio, will probably skip that next time.
I got the Monte Cristo, a large sandwich of ham and turkey but with the buns replaced by waffles. Half the fun was drowning the whole thing in syrup. It was definitely too much food for one person (had to take a half the sandwich to go) but it was a delicious challenge. A pleasant surprise was the B Benny, which came on waffles made of mashed potatoes! Will order that next time instead.
The service is good, but once it gets busy the place becomes slightly chaotic. There is one waitress, one barista and the kitchen staff for the whole restaurant. Our waffle bacon came without any separate plates to eat with, so we ended up juggling syrup on the waffles until our mains arrived. Also, try to come early. Once it hits noon, there will be long line up.
