  • One of my favorite places to eat in NY is Halal Guys, so my family and I were counting the days for the Tempe location to open. We visited Halal Guys on Saturday for lunch and as predicted there was a line out the door. It took about 30 minutes for us to order our food. We ordered 2 gyro and 2 combination sandwiches. We sadly were disappointed as the sandwiches contained barely any meet (not flavorful) and mostly lettuce. They were also completely cold inside. I can't even compare the gyro sandwich to local Greek shops in the Scottsdale/Tempe area, as this was not like the gyros i have previously eaten at Halal Guys. I hope this changes! I don't mind paying more, but they need to get the recipe and quantity to be closer to the original if they want to compete in this market or use the Halal Guys name.
