No one wants to have to replace their tires, especially all four of them at once. They're expensive no matter where you go. That in mind, Pep Boys was cheaper than what the dealer (Nissan) quoted, offered a 10% off coupon, and a rebate. Not too shabby.
I tried to purchase my tires online before I went in so I could get the 10% off. There was some sort of technical problem with the online form, so I called my local Pep Boys, easily made the appointment, asked about the 10% discount that was "only available online" and was told by Robert that I just had to print the coupon and bring it in with me and he'd apply it to the bill. He also made my appointment for me as that function wasn't working online either.
Dropped my car off and had two friendly workers there to joke with and handed over the keys. I walked to work, a few hours later I get a text stating my car was ready. When I arrived the guy at the desk said he didn't want to "call and interrupt me at work so he sent a text instead". That's some good customer service right there.
Honestly, I was hesitant to go here because I always heard it was overpriced and that local tire stores offer better deals. But I think Pep Boys is the way to go in regards to price and quickness. Since I've only had the tires on my car for 24 hours I really can't comment on or review those, but Pep Boys on S. Millvale was a positive experience.
