  • I discovered Maverick's lower Simcoe location this summer when I was working in the building next door. While I'm not a huge fan of the decor at Maverick (the bright red chairs seem to feel a bit dated) their staff are absolutely wonderful. My co-worker recommended I make an appointment with Rocco and I haven't seen another barber since. Rocco truly seems like a magician with hair, knowing exactly what to do and how to get everything looking just right. While he may not always be running on time, you can always trust him to spend more than enough time with you to make sure you are satisfied. If there were ever a time when I wasn't satisfied with how things looked at the end of my appointment I know Rocco would do anything he could to make it right. In terms of pricing Maverick is pretty good value. A full cut with double wash and hot towel service rings in at $35 excl. tip which feels pretty reasonable for downtown pricing. Overall I'll keep coming back as long as Rocco is around.
