  • It is very cheap to stay here, especially during the week! The room prices can double/triple for the weekend. I didn't know what to expect paying $40 a night... I first have to say the customer service was great & if you are coming to Vegas with kids, this is the place! The gal who checked us in took her time & gave us a a good room on the 17th floor in the Skyrise Tower, quiet hallway. The room was ok, just a standard hotel room. Our bathtub & sink clogged everyday, so I finally went to the front desk on our last day & talked to a manager, Mary Grace. She was so friendly & switched us to a room on the 19th floor in the West Tower. The rooms were more modern/updated & in my opinion, nicer & a bit bigger. She also gave us a pass to the buffet for our family. Ok so strictly reviewing the hotel, the physical building: it is old, kind of dirty & needs a better ventilation system. I could definitely tell the difference in ventilation when we went in other hotels along the strip. Circus Circus has a strong smoke odor, especially by the casino area. Overall, it is kind of dingy & dirty. The building needs a complete overhaul. The rooms: we started out in a deluxe two bed room in the Skyrise Tower. The room was somewhat clean (there were pieces of old candy between nightstand & bed) & the bathroom was a good size. The beds were comfortable. These rooms have been updated at some point as the carpet & furnishings seemed to be newer. When we moved to the West Tower the room was a bit bigger, the carpet was stained & air conditioner was not as cold. This room seemed to be newly updated, except the bathroom. Adventuredome: Two of my kids got wristbands for all day & my 12 year old was really excited to do laser tag. He went in a few times & said it was just a big open room with a few spots to hide...boring. I played mini-golf with my son who did not get a wristband. It was a crappy, very old mini-golf. He liked it, so I guess that's what counts. Overall, a waste of money for us. If your kids will ride the rides...a good deal. Buffet: there are five of us, so no matter where we go to eat it is always close too $100, if not over. Buffett was good & two of my kids LOVED the clams! We ate dinner at the buffet twice & breakfast once. The food was good & I recommend the buffet! Midway & Circus Acts: this was our favorite spot as a family! The circus acts are really good! The shows are about 10-15 minutes & the performances are great! The midway games are so fun. Our favorites were the water gun clown face (pop a balloon) & the toss a chicken in the pot games. There are also arcade type games that dispense tickets. We played air hockey & ms. PAC man. The kids really liked the midway! Pool & Water Slides: on our first day we got there & checked in. Kids wanted to go to pool & water slides. We found out water slides close at 6 pm & pool at 8 pm. Seems early for water slides, but whatever. We get out to the pool & it is SMALL & CROWDED! Just gave me the hebegebees looking at all the people, you could not have paid me to get in! My kids were even saying "gross so many people "! They played is splash pad for a bit. We got up the next morning & headed right to water slides...the kids got down twice when a lifeguard said she thought they should close the slides because a kid with scrapped up knees went down & she thought his knee might have been bleeding. WTF! So, the pool "engineer" closed all the slides about 40 min after they opened. The other thing about the pool...I had a bottle of water I had bought upstairs at the little snack mart by the casino & the security guard told me I couldn't take it out to the pool because I didn't buy it at the shop right there. I told him I bought it upstairs & he said yeah but it's a rule. So I said you are telling me I can't take water outside in the hot weather. He then told me there were drinking fountains outside or I could buy water from the store right here. What a JOKE! I told the security guard that I needed the water for medical reasons & he could call hotel management if he had a problem with me taking the water to the pool. He didn't say another word. If you stay at Circus Circus do not expect to go in the pool unless being packed in like a sardine does not bother you. I will not stay here again solely because the building needs to be updated badly! I really appreciated the great customer service & the rooms were ok. The rest of the hotel is in need of major updating. I guess I should expect that for how cheap the rates are.
