  • I have been in Pittsburgh now for almost 2 weeks and Schorr bakery is about 1/2 mile from my house and I have had pastries and cakes from there 4-5 times already. This was the first time I was actually in the store. I walked in and first thing I noticed is that there was virtually nothing available. They had a few cookies and two cheese danish and a couple of loafs of bread and that was it???. I figured maybe it was the end of the day and that is all they had left???. Unfortunately they told me that today was there last day and they were closing for vacation for two weeks, What a bummer two weeks without Schorr's. All the pastries I have had from Schorr's were totally delicious including the two cheese danishes I got that day. The staff are super friendly and have super great personalities. I am really bummed as I am not sure I can go two weeks without any pastries from Schoor's Bakery. I highly recommend Schorr Bakery if in area, And you can be sure as soon as they open again in two weeks I will definitely be there.
