  • When I first started going to Richardson's I always left a very happy (and relleno) customer. Their salsa was to die for...I'm a big salsa fan. It's one of the only ways I get lycopene since I hate fresh tomatoes..I know, strange...that's a whole other Oprah. Anyway, it was refreshingly good food. Generally the food is spicier than what you find at local Mexican restaurants. Some of my favorites included a roasted garlic appetizer and any of the enchiladas. Unfortunately, the last time I went there I thought the food was a huge disappointment. It had absolutely no flavor. It was as if the chef decided to leave his spices at home that day and just wing it. I haven't been back since. Friends recently gave it a good review so I might try again. Here's a tip: if you can't get a seat in the restaurant, try Dick's Hideaway tucked in the back. They serve the whole menu in a relaxed bar setting, and although it's small, you can sometimes get lucky. Also, I would love to attend or host a function in one of their function rooms. You can see them from the Hideaway and they look incredibly intimate.
