I picked out a couple shirts and went to the register to buy them. There was clearly some heated exchange between the employee and the customer in front of me (I think over an item not being in stock).
Over the next 10 minutes, the employee called several different stores on the valley and supervisors while a line of frustrated customers grew behind me. I work in retail so I know how stressful that can be. I waited a couple more minutes then asked if there was another employee that could help ring up my items. The employee glared at me and with so much attitude said, "no the other employees are in the front and I'm at the register and that's how it works." I was shocked. I would think after having me wait for so long, she would be polite, if not apologetic.
When I finally made it to the register, the women was more polite. She even threw in a "sorry bout that." It wasn't her fault they were short staffed but the way it was handled was completely inappropriate.
