  • As used bookstores go, this Half Price Books is a great option. It is clean and well organized (which I can't say about the McKnight Road location). There are tons of different sections. I especially love the mass market paperback section, where I can find affordable copies of classics. The staff are very helpful. The kid's section is pretty big and has a snack and reading time once a month. I don't feel like the trade-in value is quite what I would expect; however, it's nice to take a bag of books, movies, and records in and walk out with something for everyone in our family. This is definitely our go-to used bookstore in Pittsburgh.
