I really wanted to like the experience more. I paid for a 2 hour morning ride back in December (late on the posting, oops) and was pretty disappointed. The guide was very sweet, despite speaking almost no English. The owner explained our guide is a masterful cowboy, who could fix any problems we encountered... great for safety, not great for making conversation. So the whole thing took place in silence. We left a bit after our intended start time (perfectly reasonable, I didn't need my ass to be in a saddle for the ENTIRE 2 hours), but then we also were back and dismounted after an hour and 35 minutes. I'm not typically one to gripe about "I didn't get my full two hours", but cutting it short by nearly 1/4 is a little ridiculous. After returning to the start point, we were encouraged to pet the horses and ask questions; I guess that's where they get the 2 hours from? I guess this explains why the rides are so inexpensive.
