I'm actually surprised that I did not enjoy the TIN kitchen as much as I thought I would after watching triple D. I'm not sure if the cooks were rush or I just don't like the ingredients in general.
We all came here for lunch today just to check it out, parked behind the nascar hall of fame. We ordered 3 cauliflower sliders, 2 Chana masala tacos, a kimchi slider, a thai shrimp taco and a chipotle chicken quesadilla. We were really excited for the cauliflower sliders but we're not too happy when we actually ate them. I did enjoy the bread that was used and over all flavor. But the cauliflower was not grilled as promised, I was waiting for crunch but never received any. The kimchi slider was ok. The chicken quesadilla was good but lacked the expected chipotle flavor. I did like the tortilla that was used, had an almost buttery flavor. I didn't like the pickled cabbage in the shrimp taco though the shrimp was good.
I think the most disappointing item was the Chana masala taco. I took one bite and couldn't go further. I guess I am biased, I have had a lot of Chana masala as that is one of my favorite Indian dishes. But I do know coconut milk has no business with Chana masala. The traditional Chana masala dish is made with a tomato base, no creamy aspect at all. Nor does it involve an American mirepoix with celery or carrots. I did not like this item at all, bleh!
I don't think I will be returning, this was the first time triple D let me down.
