| - Mediocre at best. We were there for breakfast at 7am. Coffee cups were brought to us ice cold. The booster seat had a narrow bottom, which my son tipped over twice before I went out to the vehicle to get the one I remembered we had, but he was already too scared to sit in any booster. The high chair brought for our 9 month old was sticky all over and even had large chunks of food from the previous child. Kids can be brutal on those high chairs, ours no exception, so I don't expect them to be pristine, but that thing was downright nasty. Finally, the regular syrup had a weird flavor I couldn't put my finger on at first, but finally decided it reminded me of cloves. I love cloves in mulled cider and pumpkin pie, but not in maple syrup. Besides, my spouse remembered the syrup being real maple syrup, not the imitation we were served. This particular Perkins has been our first stop every time we get off the Amtrak over the last 10 years, but next time we will opt for Cracker Barrel.
