I completely agree 100% with Samantha R's comment about this place being Zoolander -- she hit the nail on the head.
Despite the prevalence of blue steel and tiny cell phones, Flywheel is challenging and you will get into great shape if you come here several times a week. These are facts.
Yes, it is expensive. Yes, the crowd is definitely Myers Park-ish and the parking lot is like a Land Rover dealership. Yes, the music should never be played outside of a gym.
But, I'm telling you, if you come here three times a week, you WILL get in shape. It is so much more challenging than the classes I've taken at the YMCA and you will burn calories like crazy.
My only real complaint is that the music is entirely too loud depending on where your bike is located. I feel like an old loser saying that -- but it seriously HURTS my ears. I am going to have to start bringing ear plugs.
If you are a first-timer, here are some tips -- (1) grab a seat cushion from the bin in the front right of the studio because the seat will hurt your butt and (2) be in the studio about 10 minutes before class to get set up and start warming up.
