I used to frequent this Metro location a lot. It was on the way to the gym, right by a gas station and adjacent to a Beer Store. It was all great until I encountered one particular cashier that I have dubbed "The Creeper".
He works in the late evening, always very jovial and talkative, very friendly. I was there one summer evening buying pasta or something. A girl walks by the aisle, she was probably in her late teens or early 20s, and he says to me, "Oh that's what I like! I like the blonde ones." He said this with a smile on his face while putting my grocery items in a bag. I didn't know what to say. He went about his business as if he didn't just creep the hell out of me. I think that's what bothered me the most. To him, it was all normal.
I only visited this Metro location when I had no other choice (past 11 pm and RCSS was closed). I always avoided his aisle. My girlfriend told me he made her feel uncomfortable in general, and that was before I told her about my incident. I haven't been to this location in almost six months now. The ridiculous prices, average produce quality and creepy dude have been more than enough reasons to switch to Loblaws exclusively.
Interestingly, I wrote about my incident in an online forum and others mentioned they had similar encounters. One poster said that The Creeper said something inappropriate to his daughter and confronted a manager about it.
