  • UPDATE: we ended up trying Machina and enjoyed our experience much much more than our last time. We had a great chat with Maggie (the manager) and she was helpful in talking through our issues with Down The Rabbit Hole and offering her thoughts on what we would like. We ended up choosing this room because of the time slot but we will definitely be coming back to try Jungala and the other rooms. Machina was definitely a solid room, though I would say it was definitely on the easier side. Escape Reality's difficulty rating is definitely a bit off, as this room was 4/5 and DTRH was 5/5 but 10x harder. Overall the theming and design is definitely above average. We appreciated the linear aspect of the game, though bc of the simplicity of the puzzles, we ended up wizzing through it. We were only hung up on 1 puzzle and once we got a nudge we got it right away. I hope someday escape reality can change its communication / hint / solution system as I feel like it really hinders the game experience. All in All, we will be returning For more.
