Pretty cool place. Lots to check out, exhibits, gift shops & a cafe. Entry fee is fair, we ended up updating to a year season pass because after out visit we decided it's worth coming back whenever we have nothing better to do or just because.
The butterfly exhibit is really cool. It's small but still enjoyable. It costs an extra $3 to enter (members get a discount).
Your kid can pick up stuff from nature bring it back to the gift shop next to the cafe and tell them what the object is and a fact about it & then they give you points. They have a whole area with lots of cool little nature trinkets like different kinds of shells and stones and such that you can pick from and keep using your points.
Also you can break open a geode, $3 for a small one and $6 for a large one. It was pretty neat watching my daughter break one open and seeing her reaction to finding what was inside.
