Dr. Veena and Julie Anderson arrived at my home the morning that I had called them for their services. This was my first experience with euthanasia at home, my previous experiences were at the vet's office, where my animals didn't like going to even when they were healthy! They arrived and explained what they were going to do (I understood because I been through this before). The arrangements for handling his body and payment were taken care of first which was smart because I was a mess when it was all over. They both met our dog Tyler, an Airedale/Shepherd mix, whom we referred to as our gentle giant. Tyler rested his head on my lap as they started carefully placing the IV needle. They allowed me time with him before his injection. He passed so gently and peacefully. They allowed us to say our final goodbye in private at which time I gave our other pets an opportunity to see him in hopes they would somehow understand that he was gone.
They then very respectfully covered him and placed him on a stretcher and placed him in their vehicle. Then both of them gave this weepy old guy a hug and took him away. 2 days later we received a beautiful condolence card and then a couple weeks later they came to our house to deliver his ashes to us personally. I will always be grateful to them and will use them when this difficult passing is needed for our furry family members in the future. They were truly angels to me.
